strives to treat "like with like" [the etymological origin of the word
homeopathy: 'similar suffering'].
Homeopathic remedies are prepared either by serial trituration [grinding]
with lactose
[usually 1 part in 10 or 1 part in 100] for insoluble substances, such as
Quartz and Oyster shell, or by dilution of a substance with succussion
(shaking between dilutions) for soluble substances. from
