A raindrop falls from
the sky, lighting refracting through the moisture creating a spectrum of
colours within the liquid envelope for a brief but beautiful time. It
finds itself landing on a mountainside and trickles its way through the
rocks and the vegetation until it meets up with other raindrops making
their own way down the mountain.
Eventually after following paths worn down before them the trickles of
water link up to form a stream, clear, pure and pristine. Animals and
vegetation alike are provided with essential life giving water as the
stream winds its way down, gathering speed and momentum.
Journeying down it crosses the path of other streams and together they
become a river, carving its way through the landscape towards the vast
expanse of the sea. In some places the river meanders peacefully through
tranquil settings. In others it rages, flowing fast enough to change the
landscape like a sculptor on a potters wheel, bending his clay back and
forth. The river is always growing, always moving forward, always
providing nourishment and life giving water to all who wish for it as part
of their daily sustenance.
In time and over many miles, other rivers join it on its journey, swelling
its banks, sometimes even breaking them not content to be restrained. At
some given point the river completes its journey, spilling tidally into
the sea.
Continuing an ageless cycle, the water is evaporated high into the sky and
collected in the clouds. As the temperatures fluctuate and conditions
change, the water molecules eventually become to heavy for the clouds to
hold on to any longer. A raindrop falls from the sky, lighting refracting
through the moisture creating a spectrum of colours within the liquid
envelope for a brief but beautiful time. It finds itself landing on a
